I finished my biggest crochet project to date: first blanket.
It’s a gift for my little goddaughter, which is why there were no in-progress pictures or updates. (I’ve already picked out the next blanket pattern and worked up a sample piece; but since it’s also a gift, sadly there can be no pictures of that either.) Just making things to pile up is boring… 97% of creativity here is destined for a new home. But where that often means keeping handlettering/art pictures under wraps for a week or two until they reach recipients, here it meant over a year of silence and work!
The blanket is a record of the first year of her life. Each row stands for a single day, and the color is determined by the overall high temp for the day. I love how it ends up a 365-row commemoration of a special year.
